-Author - "Capitalism at the Crossroads"

A thought leader in the field of sustainable enterprise and founder of the business concepts of the Base of the Pyramid, Stu Hart has been instrumental in shaping our work, not only through our recent work together on the BoP Protocol but also through his work with us at UNC, where he directed the school's sustainable enterprise program. Stu's generosity has opened many doors and we're forever grateful for his mentorship and guidance. Check out several of Stu's seminal articles here and his new book "Capitalism at the Crossroads" .
Mark B. Milstein

-Post-Doctoral Fellow, Cornell University

Mark Milstein is another leader in the field of Sustainable Enterprise and the Base of the Pyramid, as well as a long time colleague of ours. Mark earned a PhD in strategy from UNC and helped establish the sustainable enterprise program there, teaching the school's core sustainable enterprise class. At WRI Mark leads projects and initiatives related to sustainable enterprise in management education, including programs in the United States, Latin America, and China. Mark always offers honest & critical insight to others and has been a huge influence in our work.
Ted London
-Senior Research Fellow & Director of Base Of the Pyramid Initative,
William Davidson Insitute - University of Michigan

We worked withTed London when he was a professor and Director of the Base of the Pyramid Learning Lab at UNC, where he taught the school's strategy class on the BoP. Since then Ted has moved on to the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan. Ted's work and advice continues to be very influential for us here at BRINQ, in particular his ideas on organization design, motives, and incentives in the BoP.
Erik Simanis
-PhD Student in Strategy, Cornell University
-Co-Director Base of the Pyramid Protocol

Erik Simanis is a colleague from the Base of the Pyramid Protocol(at Cornell) as well as one of the founders of the Sustainable Enterprise program and Base of the Pyramid Learning Lab at UNC. Erik brings a mix of business strategy and anthropology to our work in the BoP and is a driving force in the field. Erik continues to co-direct and drive the BoP Protocol at Cornell University and much of the success with the BoP Protocol project in Kenya is due to Erik's example and energy... "If what you're doing doesn't seem hard, then you're probably not doing something new!"

-Base of the Pyramid Protocol

Justin De Koszmovszky is a former management consultant and an MBA student at Cornell University, where he also serves as President of Cornell's Net Impact chapter. Justin's work in Costa Rica and with us in Kenya brings a valuable perspective rare among his peers. Justin's intellect and wit have proven invaluable in the field. Check out More from Kenya on the BRINQ Workshop to read some of Justin's insights and writings.
Tatiana Thieme
-Research Assistant, Anthropology & Law, Cornell University
-Base of the Pyramid Protocol

Tatiana Thieme has a Masters in Anthropology & Law from the London School of Economics and works with Annelise Riles of Cornell University. Tatiana combined her background in anthropology with applications in development and business when she worked with us in Kenya. Tatiana's unique perspective regularly pushes our thinking at BRINQ, a much loved ability around here!
Salim Mohamed
Program Manager, Carolina for Kibera (CFK)

Salim Mohamed has been described as a man who "brings hope, love, possibility and empowerment into peoples lives on the most grassroots level and in the most real ways." What that description doesn't tell you is how playful he can be in his very serious work. One of the most amazing individuals we've ever worked with, Salim and his staff at CFK are critical to the BoP Protocol work in Kenya (a project out of Cornell University). Check out the Base of the Samosa and the BoP Protocol articles on the BRINQ Workshop for more on Salim and CFK.

In addition to getting her PhD in Public Health at UNC, Kim Chapman runs the U.S. operations of Carolina for Kibera. A former Morehead Scholar and Robert E. Theresa Williamson's work at the grassroots in Rio de Janeiro has brought together a world changing net of community leaders, volunteers, and professionals, and is a great inspiration for us here at BRINQ. Jim Scott is a former Dean's Scholar, Premier Fellow, and colleague of ours from UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School. Now working for Dean Kamen (the inventor of the Segway and many world changing inventions) in Kamen's engineering wonderland, DEKA, Jim helps direct the business development for radical new technologies in the BoP. Jim is one of the most intelligent men we know and his guidance and support of BRINQ have been crucial for us in our early phases.

Her insight and knowledge is continually of value to our work in the BoP.

Today Dave is charge of the design for Hasbro's boys line of toys which include the extremely popular GI Joe and Star Wars toy lines.
Shane Dyer
Founder & CTO, Propellerhead Studios
Founder & Former CEO, ActivePhoto

Shane Dyer is an old old friend of and used to frustrate Patrick by stubbornly insisting that the shortest path between 2 points wasn't always a straight line... sure he'd be wrong 9 times out 10 but the remainder was always absolute brilliance. Shane is an incredible designer and a constant enterpreneur and is huge inspiration for what we do at BRINQ. Shane's latest venture, Propellerhead Studios, designs and licenses electronic toys, including the popular Tek Tag line sold by Wild Planet Toys.
Monica Touesnard
-Acting Director, BoP Learning Lab
-Former Executive Director, Center for Sustainable Enterprise, UNC

Monica Touesnard was one of the early influencers in our work in sustainable enterprise and the BoP, helping convince both Sheri and Patrick to study at UNC. Now at Cornell, Monica continues to provide critical advice and insight into work in the BoP.
